Assistant Teaching Professor - Management & Technology (M&T) and Instructional Design and Technology Bowling Green State University Salary: Depends on Qualifications Job Type: Full-Time Faculty Division: Col of Technology Adm Opening Date: 11/18/2024 Location: Main Campus (BG), OH Job Number: BGSU00624 Department: Col of Technology Adm Closing: 1/15/2025 12:00 AM Eastern Summary The School of Engineering in the College of Technology, Architecture & Applied Engineering is seeking to fill a full time, renewable, qualified-rank (non-tenure track) position at Assistant Teaching Professor rank, in the in Management & Technology (M&T) and Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) programs. The College of Technology, Architecture, and Applied Engineering is experiencing a significant growth in enrollment, especially in the school of engineering. The School of Engineering (SOE) offers a range of undergraduate engineering programs including Electronics and computer engineering, mechanical and manufacturing engineering, robotics engineering, and systems engineering. The SOE also offers four technology related undergraduate programs and three graduate programs including an M.S. in Logistic Systems Engineering. The SOE has about 1,000 students, 20 full time faculty and staff, and over $1.5 million externally funded grants from National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Commerce, and U.S. Department of Defense. Essential Functions • Teach and develop undergraduate courses in Management and Technology, along with courses in the Digital Technologies concentration area. Courses may include Technological Forecasting, Information Technology Issues and Policy, Digital Assets and Rights Management, Media Usability Studies, Seminar (capstone), and/or other workplace technologies. Teach and develop graduate level courses in Instructional Design and Technology as needed. • Participate in curriculum development, accreditation process, and program assessment. • Assist with the ongoing development of program(s), including refining program courses, promoting program(s), recruiting students and the Industry Advisory Board. • Provide service to the program, school, college, university, and professional associations. • Mentor students on program and career advancement.
