The refriclaim operator is responsible for assisting the production supervisor and team lead with overall production requirements for incoming and outgoing refrigerants. This position will focus primarily on the refri-claim program.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for checking in and staging the cylinders, including entry into a cylinder tracking system and tagging the in/out date, accurately labeling cylinders and preparing cylinders to be shipped out to customers
- Utilize overhead crane to check in 30 and 50-pound cylinders
- Utilize lab equipment to test the components to analyze for purity and correct mixtures
- Load cylinders onto a cart and able to operate the decant station; which removes the gas from the cylinders
- Operate and maintain equipment in the production facility including but not limited to pumps, cylinders, hoses, hand tools, pressure gauges, scales, relief valves, cylinder valves, overhead hoists, and bulk tanks
- Ability to handle high-pressure and liquid cylinders and understand hazards of various gases, sizes and contents of cylinders by reading safety data sheets and cylinder labels
- Inspects and examines cylinders for defects, dents and cracks prior to filling. Prepares cylinders and ISO tanks for filling: Attach to a manifold, and evacuate cylinders to eliminate all possible contaminants
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in a process operations environment preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hand tools
- Ability to learn technical chemical processes, gas terminology, cylinder types, and sizes quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- EPA 608 certification is required and/or must be obtained within 6 months
- Forklift, overhead crane, and clamp operation experience required or ability to become certified within 60 days
- Functional computer skills required
