About the Role
Record journal entries and conduct analysis of general ledger accounts
Maintain and review cost standards, reviews inventory variance reports and manufacturing absorption analysis reports.
Responsible for cost and inventory accounting of the division by collecting, tracking, calculating cost information and BOM and Routing reviews.
Maintain GL system, including user security, chart of account maintenance
Interface with Corporate analysts and specialists
Responsible for tracking scrap and scrap reconciliation
Perform Onestream upload and generate reports
Your Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial and statistical reports, as well as develop reporting enhancements and other financial reports as required
Stay up to date on operational performance developments to understand impact on financial forecast
Identify operational issues affecting forecast and financial reporting
Investigate anomalies such as pricing discrepancies, forecast vs. actual variances
Assist in special projects as they arise
Property, Sales and Use Tax
Insurance surveys, claim filing, certificate requests
Year End Audit Preparation
Who we are looking for
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor Degree with accounting emphasis; Minimum 3 – 5 years accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications; Advance knowledge of Excel required
Your preferred qualifications
Needs to have a solid understanding of AR, AP, Cash, Fixed Asset, Cost Accounting and General Ledger transactions
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Team player, strong work ethic, close attention to detail and strong organization skills
Must demonstrate initiative, job ownership, and excellent problem-solving skills, desire to improve processes, willingness to participate in continuous improvement, motivated to take on additional responsibilities.
