General Statement
Responsibilities for this role include consulting with individuals looking to integrate new technologies into their coursework; developing and managing a regular schedule of trainings surrounding centrally supported instructional technologies; developing and updating how-to documentation around technology; partnering with instructional designers to encourage pedagogically sound techniques surrounding teaching and learning technologies; providing technical user support to faculty staff and students who are leveraging instructional technologies; monitoring both emerging technologies and institutional/programmatic needs. This position would report to the Manager of Teaching and Learning Technologies and partner with individuals in Information Technology, the Center for Faculty Excellence and Academic Technology and Outreach.

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical support to end-users leveraging instructional technologies
Design, implement, and manage educational technology trainings and programming that meet institutional and programmatic needs
Provide consultation to faculty, staff and students looking to engage with various teaching and learning technologies
Supporting best practices in the delivery of online and face-to-face courses, including the development of accessible course materials
Monitor trends in pedagogy and emerging teaching and learning technologies
Maintain knowledge of pedagogical best practices, trends, and assessment methods
Develop and maintain catalog of centrally supported and free tools that could aid in a variety of instructional use cases
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
A Bachelor’s degree in education, computer science, instructional design, educational technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience delivering training to diverse sets of end-users.
Experience working with instructional technology in higher education.
An understanding of best practices for developing accessible, digital course materials
Demonstrable knowledge of theories of learning, instructional models and associated pedagogy
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
A Master’s degree in education, computer science instructional design, educational technology or a related field.
Experience working with faculty and providing support in a higher education setting.
Experience teaching in a higher education environment
Experience managing or developing courses in a learning management system
