    POSITION

    In this role, you will thrive with various water/wastewater engineering project design opportunities . The Senior Engineer will champion the planning, designing, assisting with permitting, funding, bidding, and performing construction administration of water and wastewater infrastructure. Including water intake, treatment, pumping, storage and distribution, and wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment. These responsibilities include:

  • Working with clients to understand their vision and scope of the plan.

  • Analyze facilities for system deficiencies regarding compliance with local, state, and federal standards and regulations. Provide improvement alternatives to meet compliance with such regulations.

  • Project Management: leads team from inception to completion to achieve project results on time and within budget.

  • Prepare plans, specifications, costs, and estimates for municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities.

  • Coordinate construction administration oversite, job site support, and observation and monitor construction progress.

  • Support administration tasks related to construction, RFI review, progress payment review, compliance with funding agency provisions, and oversight of onsite RPRs.

  • Draft technical writing pieces such as Responses to Requests for qualifications/proposals, report writing, project specifications, and technical memorandums.

  • Facilitate quality assurance and quality controls on project work within the team.

  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Engage with community members, government officials, and other stakeholders to communicate project goals, address concerns, and gather input on water and wastewater initiatives.

  • Develop, inspire, manage, and mentor reporting personnel.

  • Identifies and pursues new business opportunities, driving revenue growth and expanding market presence.

    YOUR STRENGTHS

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or able to obtain after-hire

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent

  • Minimum of 8+ years design experience in water and wastewater projects

  • Advanced project management experience leading complex projects

  • Proficiency with design software such as Civil 3D or similar

  • Knowledge of engineering planning studies

  • Strong communication, both verbal and written

  • Solid technical writing and public speaking skills

  • Proven client growth mindset

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable record for travel
