ATI is seeking to hire are seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to oversee all Maintenance activities for the Melt Shop at our Brackenridge, PA facility.

The main focus of this role is on Major Maintenance, CapEx and Maintenance Expense Performance. This position is responsible for salary and hourly direct and indirect reports, Melt Shop Equipment performance of mission critical mechanical, electrical, level I automation and industrial environment equipment. In this position you will partner with Production, Quality, Information Technology, Technical Services, and Process Engineering departments to accomplish goals related to reliability, process and quality improvements, cost reduction, equipment obsolescence/integration, security, and automation improvement.

To be successful in the position you must exhibit a strong attention to detail, have the ability to manage both daily activities and long-term projects.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Direct, manage and coordinate all maintenance activities with responsibility for safety, productivity, and quality of all maintenance operations in a 24/7 operating environment.

  • Manage all operations/maintenance problems and objectives. Includes leading reliability centered maintenance principles.

  • Effectively develop, direct, and utilize represented & non represented talent.

  • Lead problem-solving activities; engineer and implement solutions

  • Specifying the design, implementation, and integration of automation systems.

  • Drive the development and improvement of all preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Implement automation strategies to mitigate recurring operational deficiencies.

  • Develop a culture of Maintenance that embraces all RCM tools and uses them to drive continuous improvement within the workforce. This includes highly effective down day maintenance planning and execution, quick change parts exchange and improvement in backup system reliability.

  • Drive planning and scheduling practices to significantly improve the amount of maintenance completed on upturns and downturns.

  • Manage Maintenance and CapEx budgets

  • Manage maintenance controls and maintenance contractors. Track and report activity related to performance measures of equipment, including but not limited to maintenance activities, oil consumption and major downtime. Develop tracking programs to measure ongoing problems and implement effective strategies to reduce unplanned down time on critical equipment.

  • Ensure contract and personnel issues are handled uniformly throughout the department and work with local USWA representatives to resolve grievances within the maintenance organization

  • Interpret and enforce company policies, rules, union contract and safety regulations.

  • Responsible for Environmental, Health and safety compliance and enforcement of all rules and regulations. Responsible for safety incident investigations, case management, and prevention while working with the safety committee and safety professional

  • Responsible for training and orientation of employees in compliance to company policy.
