University of Pittsburgh Part-Time Admissions Counselor in Bradford, Pennsylvania

Part-Time Admissions Counselor

  • Identifying and recruiting students: Admissions counselors participate in recruiting prospective students. They may also visit high schools, college fairs, and other locations to recruit prospective students.Primary focus: Transfer recruitment travel, events, and phone calls: outlying areas in western NY and PA to cover.
  • Assist at college admission events: Admissions counselors may assist with various aspects of campus college admission events including daily visits, visit days, open houses, admitted students days, Duke days, and other similar events.
  • Counseling students and parents: Admissions counselors counsel prospective students and parents about the admission process. They may also answer questions about the college or university and advise students on program selections.
  • Leading campus tours: Admissions counselors arrange and lead campus tours.
  • Following up with students: Admissions counselors may follow up with students via email, text, phone, or letters.
  • Working with other admissions counselors: Admissions counselors may work with other admissions counselors on projects, during events, during travel season, etc.

A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position and a Bachelors degree is Preferred.
