Job Purpose & Scope

The Single Family Residential Construction Specialist will be the primary support for all SFR construction loans. Responsibilities include supporting the lending staff in the early stages of underwriting, assembly of proper information prior to the closing of a construction loan, reviewing construction documentation, developing a direct relationship with the borrower or their staff, ordering and reviewing third party inspections, funding draw requests, and handling other construction monitoring related duties. A SFR Construction Specialist must be able to communicate and explain compliance or construction related issues to the management team to ensure conformity with bank policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions

  • Supports the lending staff in the early stages of underwriting

  • Assembles the proper information prior to the closing of a single family residential construction loan.

  • Reviews construction documentation

  • Develops a direct relationship with the borrower or their staff

  • Orders and review third party inspections

  • Processes funding draw requests

  • Handles other construction monitoring related duties as needed

  • Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions

  • Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.

  • Follows Bank policy, procedures and guidelines.

  • Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, and strong Excel experience.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, or statistics is preferred

  • Two (2) years Residential Construction Loan Monitoring or related experience required.

  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel
