Service Champions HVAC Service Field Supervisor in Brea, California

The HVAC Service Field Supervisor is utilized to perform Quality Assurance and improve the overall department quality. This position requires a highly technical, seasoned, and trained technician. The successful candidate must have experience with all types of residential HVAC systems and how each component within the system operates. These technicians must also possess excellent problem-solving abilities, exceptional customer service acumen and are champions of our “Core Values”.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and confirm Service & Maintenance Technicians are providing our customers with a consistent WOW precision tune-up and professional cleaning.

  • Participates in technician coaching. Includes accountability meet ups with Service Managers.

  • Repairs heating and air conditioning systems and related equipment (e.g. unit heaters, pumps, safety controls, etc.) for the purpose of providing residents with comfort.

  • Maintains tools, supplies, and/or equipment (e.g., torches, cutters, drills, test equipment, sheet metal, filters, control components, gaskets, seals, etc.) to ensure safe operating condition.

  • Orders repair parts and supplies (e.g., replacement parts, filters, compressor saver kits, associated hardware, etc.) to maintain inventory and ensure availability of required items.

  • Prepares documentation (e.g. warranty parts, service records, requisitions, work performed, etc.) to providing written support and/or conveying information.

  • Conduct pre-season tune up training prior to the club membership drop.

  • Diagnose, repair and report installation and service issues both “at-fault” and “no-fault.”

  • Implement action plans to train on issues seen in the field.

  • Performs Warranty calls alongside maintenance technicians and when needed for the installation department.

  • Coordinates with the Dispatch Department to ensure any warranty issues on recent service calls are completed beyond the client’s satisfaction.

  • Included in the On-Call Rotation throughout the year. One week shift where the manager on call accepts after hour phone calls from the field and our answering service.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years+ of Residential HVAC Service Experience,

  • Leadership, Coaching, Training, overseeing a team of HVAC Technicians

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work with a high degree of integrity and promote a positive company image.

  • Analytical, Focused on Quality, and Results-driven.

  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.

  • Excel within a team environment and willing to support all areas of our business.

  • Satisfactory passing of mandatory pre-employment drug screen and background check

  • Valid driver's license, with minimal DMV infractions.

Physical Requirements:

  • The principal duties of this position are performed in a variety of environments, including customer homes, the outdoors, and field environments at development and work sites on uneven and rough terrain.

  • Required to work in outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, and temperature swings, for extended periods of time.

  • Requires concentration and attention to detail; requires a high level of organizational and prioritization skills.

  • Standing up to 8 hours per day; Walking up to 8 hours per day on uneven, difficult terrain.

  • Occasional heavy manual labor to include lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.

  • Regular and repetitive grasping, gripping, reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and working overhead.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others and to convey detailed spoken instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.

  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, or alarms).

  • May work in closed or cramped spaces on occasion.
