The Research Inside Sales Executive II (RISE) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for will engage with potential customers at top academic institutions at a deep level to fully appreciate their contribution to neurodegenerative research and qualify them as leads for our assays as a means of successfully executing their research strategy. The RISE will make the initial customer contact, discuss qualifying criteria for our product offerings, arrange in person meetings with RSEs and coordinate technical meetings with Applications Scientists as necessary. The RISE will work collaboratively with the Research Sales Executive (RSE) to share qualified leads, new business opportunities and mapped stakeholders to follow up in the sales process.

This position is part of the North America Commercial Organization and will be remote requiring approximately 25% travel. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Inside Sales Team and report to the Marketing Director, North America, CCIA . The RISE will be a passionate, energetic and be a results driven individual. They will be a self-starter with keen attention to detail, ability to learn information and apply it to novel situations, and a proven track record of contribution in a team environment. The RISE will build rapport with prospects and customers to generate new and retain existing business.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Identify and develop marketing qualified leads (MQL) via market intelligence and research methodologies.

  • Convert MQLs to sales qualified leads (SQL) qualifying prospects to determine sales potential; Achieve monthly and annual sales targets by acquiring new and renewal business within the assigned geography

  • Coordinate multiple consumable sales opportunities and account management activities.

  • Utilize Salesforce.com as a CRM to develop and manage RUO opportunity funnel for assigned geography; Actively participate and develop new accounts, generate sales quotes and handle customer inquiries.

  • May coordinate functional and/or cross functional teams or projects in conjunction with the RSE to build tools, resources and collateral to support neurodegenerative development and deployment.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of experience OR 0-2 years of experience with a Master’s degree selling research use only (RUO) within research and academic institutions required

  • Excellent time management skills leading to results

  • Strong experience with MS Suite and software systems learning agility

  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills

  • This individual should have a working understanding of the discovery and development process in research laboratories and a basic understanding of the analytical lab ecosystem

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Proven ability and capacity to learn technical and complex information.

  • Lab experience a plus

  • Ability to partner with service and marketing to maximize value and efficiencies by understanding the customers specific processes

The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $95,000 This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
