Location:The Embedded Electrical Engineer is an onsite position in Allentown, PA or Chandler, AZ. As an Embedded Electrical Engineer for our specialty gas and liquid delivery equipment, you are an integral part ofthe success of our Delivery Systems and Services business. The business demands that you prioritize safety, quality,reliability, and efficiency. You will help creating the engineering solutions to the problems facing the advancement ofthe electronics industry.

Responsibilities:

include:Designing microcontroller/microprocessor based embedded systems; including developing obsolescencesolutions for electrical components including reverse engineering.Designing circuit schematics for analog and digital electronic circuits; including troubleshooting of thosecircuitsDesigning or guiding the design of PCB layouts fundamentals including sound EMC and SI principlesSustaining existing products including finding replacement for obsolete components and testing andqualifying the alternate parts.Writing and execute hardware testing prototypes, completing first articles, and writing detailed reportsTesting equipment/boards according to EMC standardsDeveloping electronics/electrical design specifications, test plans, and test procedures work instructions.Working in cross-functional teams including project managers, product engineers, and controlsengineers.Following all applicable safety procedures, codes, regulations, and standards for global compliance.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

BS in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering discipline5+ years of experience in embedded system design (microcontroller/microprocessor based) includinganalog and digital interfaces.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in design and development of Semi-conductor equipment or safety critical industrialequipment.Experience in testing equipment/boards according to EMC standards.Knowledge of UL standards pertaining to Class 1 Div 2 locations, EN/IEC ATEX related standards, SEMIstandards, EN/IEC EMC standards, and NEMA/IP ratings.OrCAD experience is a plus; Experience in HDL languages (e.g. Verilog) and FPGAs based designs.Good understanding of control systems including temperature and pressure controls.
