Position Summary Information

Objective To provide transportation services for athletic teams, student clubs, or other college groups needing transportation to and from events

Required Quals Summary High School diploma or GED. 0 - 1 year related work experience. Good organizational skills, Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with internal and external customers and departments. Ability to bend, stoop and lift 50 lbs. routinely.

Position Details

Principal Accountabilities Responsible for transporting athletic teams, student groups, and other college groups to and from events. Responsible for maintaining a State of Texas Class B license (CDL) with passenger endorsement. Performs other related task as assigned

Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local rules and regulations pertaining to bus transportation. Knowledge of scheduling system and procedures. Knowledge of record keeping system. Ability to read, write, and communicate with co-workers, supervisor, and students, and maintain daily records. Ability to use a checklist to perform inspections of assigned vehicle(s) and to make visual inspection checks. Ability to work with faculty, staff, and students of diverse personalities, education, and cultural backgrounds. Analytical and problem solving skills. Decision making skills. Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends. Three (3) years of commercial driving experience. Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug test. Ability to deal with the public in a positive, courteous and respectful manner. No felony, DWI, controlled substance arrests or convictions. State of Texas Class B license (CDL) with passenger endorsement and air brake endorsement
