Qualitative Research Analyst

Overall Job Summary

You will be responsible for the ongoing management of Tractor Supply’s customer insights community. In your role, you will design and manage research projects using an online insight community management platform. Additionally, you will analyze and summarize qualitative and quantitative data from Tractor Supply’s insights community. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously and translate customer feedback into actionable insights.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

  • Oversee recruitment and ongoing management of customer panels and communities

  • Create engagement plan(s) to keep community members active

  • Ongoing monitoring of community health and participation

  • Collaborate with merchants and business leaders to design quantitative and qualitative community-based research projects

  • Create surveys / discussion guides

  • Moderate online discussion boards, interviews and focus groups

  • Oversee end-to-end execution, including analysis and reporting of research studies to effectively communicate insights to business leaders and drive organization actions

Required Qualifications

Experience : 3+ years of experience in customer research, consumer insights or market research. Retail/CPG experience a plus.

Education : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Statistics, Marketing or related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

  • Experience in survey design and programming

  • Knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative research techniques

  • Excellent communication skills and someone who is able to engage, empathize and connect with customers ‘Out Here’

  • Strong organization and project management skills

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving

  • Understanding of statistics

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically using Excel for data analysis (i.e., creating pivot tables, utilizing VLOOKUP functionality, etc.)

  • Experienced with synthesizing and visualizing data in PowerPoint presentations

  • Experience with online customer community platforms a plus

  • Passion for animals, agriculture, gardening or outdoor activities a plus
