About the Position:

Our Loss Control department is seeking a consultant with 5-10 years’ experience to join our growing team in Alabama, Georgia, or Tennessee.

The Loss Control Specialist will provide technically competent loss control services and conduct onsite activities to help acquire and retain profitable business in accordance with the company and business teams' policies and objectives. The Loss Control Specialist will be responsible for commercial accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surveys and services commercial risks of any size and/or complexity for all lines of coverage.

  • Plans and coordinates all service account scheduling and activities for your assigned territory.

  • Meets or exceeds all service standards.

  • Accomplishes risk improvement by providing management consultation services and submitting recommendations for hazard control.

  • Obtain compliance on recommendations to help control potential losses.

  • Provides value-added customer services to insureds, agents, and company underwriting teams.

  • Maintains good communications at all levels.

  • Conducts professional activities in customer visits to help acquire and retain desirable customers.

  • Participates in team selling efforts for large accounts. Assists assigned business teams with partnering with agency force.

  • Assists commercial lines underwriters.

  • Correspond with insured via phone, email, and text message as necessary to setup appointments.

Qualifications:

  • Overnight Travel Required.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Competent knowledge of Word, Excel and PPT.

  • Knowledge of DOT, Ergonomics, OSHA, NFPA.

  • Strong computer, time management, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

  • Strong sense of self-motivation and the ability to work independently from home and in the field.

  • Reliable transportation.

  • Knowledge of Fleet Safety, Grocery/retail, and cannabis a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, risk management or fire protection related fields preferred.

  • ASP, CRM, ARM, CSP a plus.

Work Location:

This position has remote working opportunities.

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
