What you’ll do:

This position is responsible for leading a team of skilled project managers and oversee the successful execution of IT projects within the organization. Your primary focus will be on managing the implementation of new IT systems, technologies, and solutions, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership, excellent communication and a deep understanding of project management methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, providing guidance throughout project lifecycles.
  • Facilitate the professional development of team members, identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages innovation and improvement.
  • Oversee the IT project portfolio, prioritizing initiatives based on strategic goals and resource availability.
  • Ensure alignment between IT projects and overall organizational objectives.
  • Define and implement project management processes and best practices within the department.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to project management standards across all projects.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations for IT projects.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management and other stakeholders on project status.
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure projects meet their needs and align with their goals.
  • Manage, allocate, and onboard resources effectively to ensure successful project execution.
  • Assist with department budget, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree - in Information Technology, or related field, or in Business with equivalent job experience.
  • Proven experience as an IT project manager, with at least [5] years of experience in project leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align IT initiatives with broader organizational goals.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make well-informed decisions.
  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation for IT projects.
