Senior Reimbursement Analyst

What you’ll do:

Actively participate in the preparation, analysis and submission of Medicaid/Medicare cost reports for free-standing Behavioral Health and Rehabilitation Hospitals, complete settlement accruals based on interim cost reports, and support management in all reimbursement related matters for assigned facilities. Senior Analyst must be a career-oriented professional. Full time remote or in-office position.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in department’s mission to prepare, review and submit Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
  • Reviews, or prepares monthly revenue and contractual adjustment accruals.
  • Updates Medicare rate assumptions, investigates payment discrepancies.
  • Coordinates audits of assigned facilities. Responds to proposed audit adjustments.
  • Reconciles reimbursement settlement accounts
  • Assists management in development of policies, procedures, reports and other tools to improve work product.
  • May prepare various financial or statistical analyses, reconciliations, research, or other special projects as necessary

What you’ll need:

Education: * Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, systems or other degree with equivalent experience.

Experience:**

  • 3-5 years cost reporting and third-party accounting experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
