Robert Half is looking for an open position in the Brentwood, Tennessee area for a skilled Tax Preparer. The Tax Preparer is responsible for fulfilling the State and Federal tax returns for individual and small business. Put your talents to the test in this dynamic Tax Preparer role if you deadline-driven and have an attentive eye for detail. Our client is open to either a seasonal only arrangement through end of April or will consider the right candidate for a Temp to Hire opportunity. Apply immediately!

Key responsibilities

• Sum up and invoice for form preparation fees

-70 percent of this position will be completing corporate tax returns for small to mid-size business and will also assist with individual returns.

• Contact clients to gather vital information/documents

• Aid clients with incoming calls to direct tax questions and set appointments

• Manually enter correct data into Tax software application

• Provide completed transaction tax returns utilizing various methods (Paper, E File, EDI Upload) with various government agencies

  Requirements

• Proficiency in MS Excel

• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

• Excellent data entry skills

• Ultratax CS experience A+

• Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel

• Corporate Tax Return experience required.

• Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
