Transylvania Vocational Services Blending Technician in Brevard, North Carolina

This position will work C shift - Friday-Sunday from 6am-6pm and will earn a $4 shift differential on top of the starting rate.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to recognize gaps in equipment performance, troubleshoot, and make minor adjustments, repairs and modifications.

  • Communicate effectively using verbal and written skills.

    ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Perform independently and/or assist with minor repairs, adjustments, and modifications on existing and future equipment

  • Assist in preventative maintenance tasks as assigned on existing and future equipment.

  • Support and assist with equipment and facility sanitation tasks and safety inspections

  • Operate equipment as directed by Production Supervisor and Blending Operator to meet production targets focusing on throughput, efficiency, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

  • Comply with GMP’s, HACCP, OSHA, USDA, OU, SQF and any other regulatory parties.

  • Individually and collectively responsible for tools, parts, and supplies to minimize equipment downtime, maximize efficiency, and efficient utilization of resources.

  • Individually and collectively responsible for maintenance shop upkeep to ensure safe working conditions, regulatory compliance, and appropriate care for company assets.

  • Maintain current certifications/licenses for all necessary equipment as applicable

  • Possess the physical ability to stand for an entire shift, lift and carry up to 60 pounds, squat, bend, twist, lift, perform manual dexterity functions, and have the visual acuity for proper equipment quality assessments.

  • Must be able to work all shifts and weekends scheduled or unscheduled as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
