Under the direction of the Public Works Director & Public Works Crew Lead, the Public Works Tech provides various municipal construction and maintenance duties. These duties include:

· Streets maintenance including snow removal, equipment operation, and material application.

· Water system maintenance and construction.

· Sewer collection system maintenance and construction

· Garbage collection, including garbage truck operation and hauling.

· Maintains and services Town owned facilities, vehicles and equipment; maintains Town of Brian Head trails and parks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum qualifications may include graduation from high school or equivalent; and sufficient experience and training to demonstrate aptitude or ability to perform above or related duties or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a Commercial class B driver's license or acquire the class B driver's license within 6-months from the date of hire. Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds. Ability to handle heavy physical labor Must be willing to work on-call and 24-hour standby.

Must have good knowledge of construction and construction practices, familiarity with construction tools and equipment. Must have ability to adapt to varying work assignments. Must obtain State of Utah Level 1 water distribution and level 1 Wastewater collection certifications (within 1 year). Must be Flagger certified within 6-months from date of hire.

Brian Head Town is looking to fill multiple positions, and will hire at either the Tech I, Tech II, or Tech III level depending on qualifications, experience, and certifications.

Tech I pay range: $18 - $22 per hour

Tech II pay range:$23 - $25 per hour

Tech III pay range: $25 - $27 per hour
