Our Vocational Services Department provides individuals with disabilities opportunities for job training, placement, and employment throughout our community.
Requirements
The role of the Assistant Executive Director is to provide the leadership and oversight necessary to ensure that the organizational, program, budgetary, and compliance regulations are achieved in accordance with the strategic initiatives.
Fiscal Management:
Provides oversight for the financial affairs of the Department
Plans and approves expenditures within the limits of the budget
Reviews and monitors billing for all services; ensures compliance with documentation and ensures proper adherence to deadlines
Ensures efficient management of agency resources and ongoing growth of services offered
Works in conjunction with Development to implement various fundraising plans to secure adequate funding including seeking out and preparing grants, developing donor relationships and participating in special events.
Program Administration:
Review intakes, assessments, and evaluations for prospective participants transitioning in or out of services
Develop, implement and achieve objectives as outlined in agency plans including but not limited to: Accessibility, Performance Improvement, Strategic Plan and Risk Management
Ensures participants are given the opportunity to be trained in their vocational area(s) of interest
Develops and oversees connections with community partners and business entities to provide consistent employment training and opportunities for program participants
Oversees recruitment and performance management of the department
Monitor and review Unusual Incident Reports, GER’s, Individualized Service Plan (ISP), Therap data and progress notes, ELP, IEP and all monthly and quarterly reports mandated by funding sources, accreditation and agency.
Leadership:
Serves as an advocate for funding and policies that benefit the organization's program participants
Directs subordinates by delegating responsibilities as necessary to effectively serve the organization's clients and accomplish goals.
Provides training and support to Director Team
Ensures ongoing compliance with the standards established by CARF, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) and the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD)
Ensures annual outcome measurement results are evaluated, utilized in program planning, and reported to the Executive Director and other agency stakeholders
Ideal Candidate Qualifications and Competencies:
The ideal candidate for the Assistant Executive Director-Vocational will:
Have a minimum of 10 years demonstrated successful management and supervisory experience in a community rehabilitation setting; Must have held at minimum 3 years success in a Senior Leadership role
Bachelor's Degree in rehabilitation, business, or public administration, Master's Degree preferred
Knowledge of financial statements, budgeting process, and billing procedures
Possess and maintain knowledge of current trends and issues in vocational rehabilitation
Be have the capabilities to coordinate a diversity of programs
Have passion for the mission
Be a strategic thinker with a high level of integrity, ethics and trust
Possess excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Have demonstrated experience in the ability to motivate and influence others
