  • Inspect components and subassemblies to ensure they meet drawing specifications, focusing on dimensional layout.
  • Follow company quality system policies and procedures.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements.
  • Perform dimensional layout of complex components and assemblies.
  • Use blueprints, quality plans, control plans, sampling plans, and inspection procedures.
  • Participate in special product and process studies as directed.
  • Use standard inspection equipment, including CMMs, hand micrometers, comparators, calipers, and various handheld gauges.
  • Prepare and report inspection results accurately and on time.
  • Prepare nonconformance reports and segregate nonconforming products according to company procedures.

Job Qualifications: Quality Inspector

  • Strong math skills.
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT).
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and processes.
  • Experience setting up gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Skilled in performing layout inspections.
  • Analytical thinking and independence.
  • Ability to work well both independently and with others.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 5-8 years of inspection experience in metal stamping, injection molding, or a related industry.
  • Proficient in using measurement devices like micrometers, optical comparators, Vision and Touch CMMs, drop indicators, force gauges, calipers, etc.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Ability to follow established procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
