Position Overview

At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Program Manager Expert- Aero Programs to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

Aurora Flight Sciences is seeking an experienced and highly skilled program manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing program management tools, processes, and methods specifically tailored to Aurora’s Aerosystems production programs. You will work closely with program managers to deploy these tools and ensure their successful implementation throughout the organization. This role will be pivotal in enhancing our operational capabilities by managing and optimizing our processes, tools, and methodologies to meet stringent industry standards and drive continuous improvement.

This is a hybrid position located in Columbus, MS or Bridgeport, WV.

-Develop and enhance program management tools, processes, and methods to support Aerosystems production programs.

-Collaborate with program managers to understand their specific needs and requirements.

-Collaborate with teammates from the Business Operations org to understand current tools, methods, and processes.

-Design and implement efficient and effective program management tools and processes.

-Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and recommended enhancements.

-Assist program managers in deploying program management tools and processes.

-Provide training and support to program managers, their support staff, and other team members on the effective use of program management tools.

-Monitor the usage and adoption of program management tools and processes and address any issues or challenges that arise.

-Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in program management tools and processes.

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of program management tools and processes into existing business systems.

Minimum Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree and 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).

-Must be US Person

-Minimum of 14 years of experience in aircraft / aerostructure production programs, with a strong focus on managing fixed price production efforts.

-In-depth knowledge of advanced production programs, including design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and certification, with a for aerostructure components.

-Proven experience in developing program management tools, processes, and methods, preferably within the aerospace industry.

-Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.

-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

-Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

-A collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Requirements

-Bachelor's degree in engineering, aerospace, business administration or a related field.

Physical Requirements

-Must be able to support occasional travel.

-Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and wear proper PPE.

-Work onsite in Columbus, MS or Bridgeport, WV.

Salary Range (Annualized USD)

  • Minimum Range: $105,000.00 to $188,000.00

  • Maximum Range: $121,000.00 to $215,000.00
