Adecco US, Inc. Mechanical Design Engineer in Bridgeton, Missouri

We are a custom designed crane manufacturer in business since 1959, we've built our reputation on serving general contractors, municipalities and a wide variety of manufacturing companies. Our specialty is the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of overhead cranes, runway systems, fall protection systems and lifting beams.

This role offers a unique combination that allows engineers to design one-of-a-kind solutions and work with our machinist and fabricators to see their designs come to life. Each design is job specific, so the position will have variety when it comes to the solutions being created.

The Job

We are looking for a mechanical design engineer with somewhere between 3-5 years of experience to work within our current team of engineers and be responsible for:

  • Review of customer specifications, product concepts, and related documentation to determine best overall solution and design

  • 3D design of overhead cranes

  • Creating fabrication drawings to be sent to our shop for build

  • Working with machinist and fabricators to ensure the design is built correctly

  • Creating a Bill of Materials for the project

Background and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering

  • Solid (3-5 years) design experience in industry

  • SolidWorks experience

  • Strong AutoCAD experience and utilization

  • Material handling industry knowledge a plus

Successful Attributes

  • Creative problem-solving skills

  • Strong organizational skills dedicated to meeting schedules & budgets.

  • Strong communication skills - listening, verbal, written, and presentation.

  • Ability to read and create schematics using SolidWorks.

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
