The Brighton Center for Specialty Care is the newest University of Michigan Ambulatory Care facility dedicated to providing high quality health care services for adults and children. The new 2-story facility is located at 7500 Challis Rd. Brighton, MI. As a Physical Therapist on the Pelvic Floor Team, you will evaluate and treat patients with diseases, injuries, disorders, and disabilities, to relieve pain, develop or restore function and maintain maximum performance by using physical modalities and exercise as prescribed by a physician. You will play an integral role in developing an individualized treatment plan to patients that help guide them through their recovery experience. Responsibilities*

  • In working with patients from the Michigan Bowel Control Program, you will acquire skills in treating bowel dysfunction which is unique to Michigan Medicine

  • You will have the opportunity to mentor other Pelvic Floor PTs

  • You will conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients

Required Qualifications*

  • Master's or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and Clinical Internship is necessary

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Michigan or License Eligible

  • Candidates need to have advanced specialty practice in the evaluation and treatment of most pelvic floor diagnosis for men and women as well as some experience treating orthopedic and spine patients. Minimum of 2 years of experience is desired

  • Candidates to have some experience in OB care is helpful.

Work Schedule

This position is full-time, working Monday through Friday ? Day Shift. This position will require the staff member to work one evening until 7:00 p.m.
