Nursing Scheduler for Long Term Care Center.
What You'll Do:
As a Nursing Scheduler, you are a key contributor to quality of care, resident well-being, regulatory compliance and the culture of our facility. Your efforts help create an environment where our nursing staff can thrive while delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the facility is optimally staffed 7 days per week - 24 hours per day
Develop and maintain nursing staff schedules considering workload, qualifications, regulation compliance and staff preferences
Collaborate with the nursing leaders to optimize staffing make up and budget impact including full-time, part-time and per diem resources
Handle scheduling conflicts, last-minute adjustments, and replacements as needed
Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, PTO, vacations, and schedule changes
Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding schedules and changes
Manage overtime and agency expense to acheive overall budget targets

What You'll Bring:
Qualifications of a Nursing Scheduler include:
Experience as a scheduler in a Healthcare or Long-Term Care setting is extremely valued
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Strong organizational, administrative and time-management skills
Ability to handle dynamic scheduling needs and adapt to last-minute changes
Ability to work and communicate effectively in a fast-paced, multidiscilinary team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience and the ability to relate tactfully and professionally with all staff
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant and to remain calm during emergency situations
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
