SUNY Brockport Special Projects Coordinator- REOC in Brockport, New York
The SUNY Rochester EOC (REOC) has been an established adult educational facility in the city of Rochester NY for over 50 years. Conveniently located in Downtown Rochester, the REOC has earned the reputation as one of the outstanding Centers in the state. REOC employees collaboratively provide skill and academic training necessary for students to continue to college or obtain a career. REOC has a strong connection to both SUNY Brockport and the University Center for Academic and Workforce Development. REOC is one of ten Educational Opportunity Centers (EOC) and two Career Counseling and Outreach Centers located throughout New York State, each with a commitment to supporting a diverse and inclusive workforce and student population. Job Summary: The REOC is currently accepting applications for a Special Projects Coordinator. The person in this role will provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders such as REOC faculty and staff, REOC students, SUNY Brockport Downtown, and the community at-large, in order to provide support in scheduling in-house and community events that utilize the Multipurpose Room. The Coordinator will also facilitate the purchase of textbooks, student uniforms, and classroom materials and distribute these in a timely manner to ensure student success. The Special Projects Coordinator will identify projects, and oversee inception through completion, that enhance REOC's growth and innovation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization by the time of appointment.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Commitment to fostering collaboration and optimizing resource allocation.
Experience in a multicultural environment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in Higher Education.
Experience in event planning and project management.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm, some nights and weekends
Salary and Benefits: The minimum salary for this position is $51,296.
