Fedcap Assesment Coordinator in Bronx, New York

We are hiring in the Bronx! Join us at Fedcap Inc. for an exciting career as an Assessment Coordinator. Salary: $38k to $40k.

Position Summary:

The Assessment Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering various assessments to determine current and potential barriers, transferable skills and experience, career aptitude, motivation, and education level. Working in conjunction with the orientation and service coordination team, the results of these assessments become the corner stone for developing and implementing an individualized service plan designed to address the participants short- and long-term goals.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop, administer, and implement various assessment tools to ascertain barriers and employment, training, and educational goals.

  • Ensure each assessment is tailored to the individual.

  • Make connections and develop relationships with participants which promote honest and effective communication.

  • Develop individualized service plans based on participant barriers and goals.

  • Communicate and partner effectively with the intake and service coordination team.

  • Effectively evaluate the effectiveness of each assessment and its implementation

  • Conduct an effective and thorough interview with applicants.

  • Work in conjunction with the orientation team to facilitate the orientation and intake process, promoting a smooth transition and short wait time for participants.

    Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required, 4-year degree in social work, counseling, or a related field preferred.

  • At least 2 years of experience in case management or assessment

  • Experience working with populations on public assistance, criminal backgrounds, and the economically disadvantaged.
