Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-Greater New York) is an anti-poverty organization working to end homelessness in the New York area by 2050. We operate over 60 programs across New York City, Northern New Jersey and Westchester County including emergency, transitional and permanent housing. Our services extend to families experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, people living with HIV/AIDS, veterans, youth aging out of foster care, adults with behavioral health or substance use needs, and others in need, including a special education preschool program.

Position: Associate Program Director
The Associate Program Director is responsible for ensuring that the program provides a comprehensive and integrated on-site social services program that helps residents restore and rebuild their lives while healing from their experience of domestic violence. S/he manages the case management and specialized support service delivery system for clients as well as establishing community linkages to enhance services.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field and five years' experience including two to three years in a supervisory role.
- Experience working with families with domestic violence victims is essential. Knowledge of counseling and advocacy techniques for people who have been victims of domestic violence, including crisis intervention and case management skills is essential to this position.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Manage program personnel in case management and support areas. Assist the Program Director in recruiting and training direct service staff.
- Establish and maintain program delivery models. Provide crisis intervention for victims and their victims.
- Develop and maintain linkages with other service agencies, generic community resources, and state/city liaisons.
- Ensure that regulations and quality assurance indicators are achieved. Manage program services for the quality and consistency. Monitor results of external and agency surveys and the implementation of corrective action plans. Ensure that regulations and quality assurance indicators are achieved.
- Maintain client records in a professional and confidential manner. Maintain ongoing communication with the clients. Create and maintain a wellness and recovery oriented environment by using person-first language, respectful documentation, and person-centered planning.
- Participate in the general management of the facility and the social service programs.
- Prepare proposals for the development, expansion and continuation of programs in coordination with Department Director and the Program Director. Develop regular communication with the contract supervised managers; act as liaison with funding source. Ensure all programs meet contractual goals and reporting requirement.
- Monitor program progress and submit all required reports to funding sources, including government and private sources. Submit internal progress reports on a monthly basis, or more frequently as required.
- Plan and develop budgets, and work with Program Director and fiscal staff to ensure that collection of payment from funding source is current. Monitor fiscal expenses and analyze fiscal reports on a monthly basis.
