We are seeking an exceptionally friendly and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Care Associate (PCA). As a key member of our dynamic medical team, the PCA works in collaboration with medical staff to ensure optimal patient care. This role is responsible for front desk reception duties, maintaining an efficient flow of patients, visitors, and phone calls, and providing administrative support to the clinical staff.As a PCA, your responsibilities will include:

  • Greet patients and visitors with a courteous, patient, and professional demeanor.

  • Manage front desk reception duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking in/out patients.

  • Maintain efficient patient flow and coordinate with medical staff to minimize wait times.

  • Assist with patient registration, including collecting and verifying billing and payment information.

  • Provide administrative support to clinical staff, including managing medical records and assisting with patient follow-up.

  • Handle patient inquiries and direct them to appropriate resources or staff members.

  • Ensure the front desk and waiting areas are clean, organized, and welcoming.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Experience in a medical service environment, specifically with front desk activities preferred

  • Knowledge of Federal & NY State patient privacy regulations/laws a plus

  • Experience working with diverse populations including the LGBT community

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and helpful under stress

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
