Actalent Production Engineer in Bronx, New York

MUST HAVES

  • 7+ years of direct engineering experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Engineering Management preferred.

  • Ability to read and understand drawings, flowcharts, and schematics related to system design documentation.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Lean and Six Sigma processes, including experience with various continuous improvement techniques.

Job Description:

  • The Production Engineer will provide technical expertise and solutions to support quality and operations at our manufacturing and packaging site.

  • This position explores innovative and alternate solutions to meet business needs while providing excellent customer service.

  • The role involves close collaboration with the entire Engineering team, Validation, Quality, and Operations teams.

  • Daily interactions with other functional areas and multi-functional teams such as plant managers, supervisors, maintenance, safety, and scheduling are essential to implement changes and resolve problems impacting plant safety, quality, and efficiency.

  • This position offers significant growth opportunities both within the role and the company.

Qualifications:

  • Established understanding of engineering theoretical fundamentals of equipment operation and the use of standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.

  • Ability to make sound economic analyses with prudent financial judgment.

  • Ability to work toward broad goals and exercise initiative in identifying projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a team-oriented environment.

  • Experience with quality systems in a current GMP-regulated environment is strongly preferred.

  • Hands-on knowledge of production operations and associated control systems is preferred.
