The Research Technician A specific daily lab duties include labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, shipping, and storage of samples and record keeping of specimens as they enter and leave the Biorepository (BIOR). Other duties include frequent use of databases to record data. The technician will be required to travel between campuses occasionally and will work at both campuses within our laboratory space.
The person will:
- Perform a few, relatively simple, technical procedures;
- Require intermittent guidance;
- Rarely be responsible for ordering routine supplies;
- Rarely analyze data.
Qualifications
Required to have at least a High School diploma and one year of technical school, or an Associate's degree or equivalent skills and related experience.
