Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Application Developer who is passionate about developing leading edge applications, producing customer value, and innovating new solutions for our insurance client. You will be an innovator that thrives on moving up and down the software stack effortlessly in order to make changes at the best point between the user interface and the backend processes. You will also continually form hypotheses and seek to validate or invalidate them in production by deploying small changes frequently, while having the tenacity to solve challenging technical problems with an eye towards quality results. Responsibilities include:

* Research, design, develop, and implement new solutions using C#, SQL, Azure and other leading technologies

* Research, design, develop, and implement new data, analytic, web-based & data-driven applications

* Formulate & architect solution designs

* Troubleshoot existing application code

* Perform ad hoc programming and analysis

* Build ETL processes for client implementations

* Mentor junior developers according to best practices & industry standards

* Review of peers' work product to validate quality results

Skills and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related degree required

* 5+ years of programming experience

* Software architecture & design experience

* Experience and proficiency with several technologies to include C#, ASP.NET, MVC, XML, JSON, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery

* Experience and proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL and/or other relational databases

* Exposure to managed services hosted on cloud platforms Azure & AWS

* Exposure to reporting tools (e.g. Microsoft Reporting Services, Power BI, Tableau)

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

* Strong coding standards using best practices

* Extensive history starting projects from scratch * Payer healthcare claim data experience, eligibility data and healthcare industry knowledge

* Systems methodology experience

* Use of different approaches for working with multiple large data sets (e.g. Azure Synapse, Databricks, Data Lakes, etc.)

* Experience with source code management systems null
