  • Assists Supervisor with planning, preparing and implementing activities appropriate for school aged children before and after school.

  • Assists Supervisor with classroom preparation and maintenance, including set up, keeping tables, floors and other surfaces clean and maintaining order in classroom and shared areas.

  • Administers a high-quality, developmentally and academically appropriate program that meets the social, emotional and behavioral needs of the students.

  • Keeps abreast of research and trends in the School Age Care (SAC) field, recommends program design and planning.

  • Supports Supervisor in breakfast and snack preparation.

  • Greets youth, parents, and volunteers.

  • Supervise students to ensure a safe, supportive, culturally responsive, equitable, and welcoming learning environment.

  • Provides supervision to students at all times; serving as a positive role model; ensures safety of all program participants.

  • Works collaboratively with Program Assistant and Supervisor in planning and implementation of age appropriate, and engaging hands-on experiences for youth.

  • Leads and participates in morning group activities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Must meet requirements of State of Minnesota School Age Childcare Program Standards; have experience working with children in grades K-8 in a childcare program setting; current First Aid and CPR training within 90 days of employment.Why Choose BCCS?
