Our commitment extends beyond business success as we strive to build sustainable processes that minimize environmental impact and foster vibrant and diverse communities around the globe.Position Summary:This position is responsible for sorting & cleaning soiled incoming medical devices as well as clean medical containers in a fast-paced production flow process.Key Responsibilities and End Results: (Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to the following):Prioritize ship & receive all available orders dailyInspect medical device containersOperate bin washing machineryMaintain required paperwork i.e. cleaning logs, inventories, RGAs, purchase orders, spreadsheetsHandle requests for suppliesAssist in handling customer service issues including identify customer returnsIdentify devices currently processed in the facility and discarding devices that are not processed in the facilityKeep individual jobs in tact throughout entire process and perform jobs in first in-first out basisMust be able to tolerate frequent exposure to body fluidsComplete paperwork for operations completed and document rejectsStatus jobs on computerMaintain process documentation logs and perform maintenance activitiesPerform cleaning of devices to a defined acceptable levelCompletely clean and disinfect soil sort area at the end of shiftAbility to work, as needed, in other areas of productionAble to work overtime as neededMaintain a safe and orderly work areaKeep in compliance of safety measures including the use of gowns, gloves and face masksKnow and follow policies and procedures related to work activities performed in area of responsibilityComplete training in area of responsibility. Training is required for changes in existing policies & procedures, for new assignments and for implementation of new policies & procedures. Complete required periodic re-training in areas such as environmental health & safetyAssist with training and qualifying other team members to perform a variety of processes and operationsCommitment to building a positive cultureOther responsibilities may be assigned & not all responsibilities listed may be assignedJob Specifications: The minimum education and experience required to perform this job competently.Education & Experience Requirements0-1 years warehouse or similar experiencePrior experience in the medical device industry is preferredAble to work with proprietary software system as well as vendor supplied systems including SAP and Critical Manufacturing is preferredAble to understand and follow Work InstructionsAbility to read, write, count and understand EnglishBasic knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations preferredWillingness to learn and take on additional responsibilitiesAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsExcellent hand and eye coordination/dexterityAbility to learn quickly and to identify, logically analyze and solve work-related problemsAbility to learn overall understanding of process flow and resources within the organizationAbility to function independently as well as part of a teamAbility to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environmentAbility to maintain high work standards and concern for quality of workPhysical Requirements Needed to Perform Position FunctionsLift/carry up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionallyPush/pull up to 50 lbs. occasionallyBend up to 30 degrees, kneel/squat, sit and rotate activities occasionallyTwist/turn, stand/walk and overhead reach frequentlyTorqueing/crimping, grasping-light, out-stretched arm and keystrokes both arms.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbili y to operate a personal computer. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
