Robert Half Account Manager in Brooklyn, New York

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Account Manager in New York. This role involves working in the property industry, specifically focusing on property accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for various aspects of financial reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, tenant billing, and budgeting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports and financial statements.

• Record payment receipts, review and bill tenant recurring charges and billing adjustments, perform tenant ledger reconciliations, and monitor tenant collections in the realm of Accounts Receivable.

• Process invoices with appropriate coding and approvals, ensure a proper audit trail is in place, and assist clients with monthly check runs as part of Accounts Payable.

• Review leases and leasing activity to ensure accurate billing, process any additional tenant invoicing for utilities, reimbursements, etc. within the scope of Tenant Billing.

• Assist with annual budget preparation – compile key assumptions and capital budget information, maintain lease level budgeting for all tenants, review and enter budget information into the accounting system, process estimates for miscellaneous income and specialty leasing.

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Aging Accounts, Intercompany Accounts, Annual Financial Reporting, Financial Reconciliation, Month End Close, Account Reconciliation, Adjusting Journal Entries, General Journal, Journal Entries, General Ledger, Account Analysis, Cash Flow Analysis, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A). Requirements • Possess at least 2 years of experience as an Account Manager

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Skilled in handling Aging Accounts and Intercompany Accounts

• Experience in Annual Financial Reporting and Financial Reconciliation

• Ability to manage Month End Close and Account Reconciliation

• Expertise in Adjusting Journal Entries and General Journal

• Competent in creating Journal Entries and maintaining General Ledger

• Proficient in Account Analysis and Cash Flow Analysis

• Familiarity with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) is a plus

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Proven track record in meeting deadlines and working under pressure

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred

• Proficient in MS Office Suite and accounting software

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
