Compensation :

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I (TA) : $ 6 5,954 - $7 8,079

Assistant Transit Management Analyst II (TA) : $ 7 6,577 - $8 5,288

Associate Transit Management Analyst (TA) : $ 8 6,565 - $1 12,083

Responsibilities :

Analyzing blueprints to provide complete takeoffs for multiple trades . Developing cost estimate for material, labor, equipment for the project; developing schedule based on different stages of drawings and/ or written scope of work . Working with construction managers and supervisors to clearly understand project scope during estimate preparation . Assisting supervisors with preparation of Requests for Information and Additional Work Orders (Change Orders) . Preparing project cost proposal letters to submit to clients, clarify exclusions, and follow-up with documentation.

Education and Experience :

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I & Assistant Transit Management Analyst II:

  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and at least one year of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above.

    Associate Transit Management Analyst:

  • A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry.

    Desired Skills :

  • Proficiency in mathematics and data analysis, attention to details.

  • Familiarity with construction practices, methods, and techniques.

  • Familiarity with construction costs and budgets.

  • Ability to work independently and/or with team.

    Selection Method :

    Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

    All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
