Full Time Quality Assurance Tester

Hybrid, 2 days

Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Quality Assurance Tester within our team. This is a hybrid working opportunity working at the client site 2-days a week.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and load tests to validate the functionality of software products.
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and design effective test strategies.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a quality assurance perspective.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
  • Work with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring a high level of product quality.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies to ensure our QA practices are cutting-edge.
  • Facilitate and coordinate end-user testing sessions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted in lieu of the required degree.
  • 5+ years of experience on a Quality Assurance testing team with demonstrated experience developing and executing test protocols.
  • 5+ years of experience developing test entrance and exit criteria, test case scenarios, test data and test roles and responsibilities.
  • 2+ years of experience planning, executing, facilitating and coordinating end user system testing, including communication and documentation of status/issues with stakeholders.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills for reporting status and issues to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in QA tools and software such as JIRA, Selenium, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with various software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software products.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of 820 and 834 X12 EDI files and formats.
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience writing queries using MS SQL Server.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is $80,800 to $129,300.
