Salary Range:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $6 5,954 - $7 8,079 (TA)

Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $7 6,577 - $8 5,288 (TA)

Associate Transit Management Analyst: $8 6,565 - $1 12,083 (TA)

Responsibilities :

This is a new position supporting the OMNY Station Repairs initiative. The incumbent will assists in the planning, development, implementation, execution, and oversight of the OMNY project, and reports progress to the Project Manager, Director, Assistant Chief, and/or VP of the Facilities Department. The position will also track goals of the maintenance operation and provide detailed reports to upper management.

The selected candidate will be responsible for administrative activities including, but not limited to, maintaining databases, extracting/processing/analyzing data, the set up and preparation of meetings and correspondences, preparing and tracking bulletins, disseminating information, questions, and directives; facilitating and coordinating communication and interaction among the senior staff; pursuing follow-ups of pending items with senior staff, and briefing management accordingly.

Education and Experience :

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I and II:

  1. A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or

  2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "1" above.

    Associate Transit Management Analyst:

  3. A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or

  4. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry.

    Desired Skills :

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills including conflict resolution.

  • Excellent organizational skills, reporting, calendaring; detailed oriented.

  • Ability to preserve and maintain confidentiality with sensitive documents.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office 365 applications.

  • Ability to develop, collect, formulate and maintain databases, spreadsheets, estimates, project schedules and reports.

  • Experience in financial analysis, budget and project management.

    Selection Method :

    Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

    All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
