DESCRIPTION

Leads projects of various complexities, which impact multiple Lines of Business (LOB) and/or functional areas and often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration across a diverse spectrum of IT. Takes project from original concept through to final implementation using standard Project Management, Change Management, and Risk Management methodologies and concepts. Sets expectations for diverse project stakeholders through planning activities and maintains transparency via communication and reporting channels. Establishes and maintains a strong, collaborative trusted advisor relationship.

Drives the transformation of applied development methodology from multi-release waterfall to Agile/Scrum using tools prescribed by the Agile Transformation Office.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Works with business leader to define scope; manages project scope, scope changes, objectives, requirements, deliverables, and value proposition that support the diverse business goals and interests of multiple stakeholders.

  • Drives successful implementation of solutions via direct oversight of all workstreams and strong collaboration with business leaders, other technology project managers, workstream leads and project stakeholders. Leads project meetings driving for accountability, results and outcomes aligned to the vision and objectives.

  • Develops integrated project plan; identifies and manages project dependencies and critical paths; and tracks/reports project checkpoints as well as status while adhering to project policy standards; ensures potential impacts to external client experience are addressed in project solution/plan.

  • Understands various project delivery methodologies such as waterfall, agile, etc. Feels comfortable coordinating with all types of projects.

  • Partners with project sponsors and business leaders on project updates and executive presentations for various audiences. When necessary, leads communication and/or change management planning and execution.

  • Identifies, tracks, escalates, and resolves issue conflicts; performs impact analysis and prioritization; manages dependencies and track/monitors; and escalates risk with corrective/mitigating actions.

  • Assists in business case development; performs project initiation activities; and administers project checkpoints to drive delivery and mitigate/resolve bottlenecks.

  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate and sufficient resources are engaged over the multi-year duration of the project, including gathering estimates from resources needed to achieve project goals; tracking utilization; determining and assessing need for additional staff and/or vendors; may support on/off-boarding; and monitors/manages performance for vendor labor resources.

  • Responsible for, consolidates, and continuously manages the overall project financials; including the forecasting and budgeting as required by project and company standards. Independently facilitates and executes budgetary requests.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management or related field.

  • Minimum of five (5) years project management experience with at least three (3) years of experience leading complex, large-scale, enterprise system conversions.

  • Solid foundation in project management concepts, principles, and practices including executing on the ‘people side of change’ (change management).

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and lead through change.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar certification

Key has implemented a role-based Mobile by Design approach to our employee workspaces, dedicating space to those whose roles require specific workspaces, while providing flexible options for roles which are less dependent on assigned workspaces and can be performed effectively in a mobile environment. As a result, this role may be mobile or home based, which means you may work either at a home office or in a Key facility to perform your job duties. If located near a KeyBank location, the position in the future may work partially from a Key facility. If not located near a Key facility, team will consider remote workers.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000.00 to $120,000.00 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
