Medical Mutual of Ohio Manager, Acquisition Marketing – Group and Specialty in Brooklyn, Ohio

Note, requires (3) days per week in-office in Brooklyn, Ohio.

Defines and executes strategic marketing initiatives for group health benefits products and services; collaborates with subsidiary companies and other business units. Develops, executes, and analyzes campaigns to determine the best course of action, emphasizing lower funnel/lead generation advertising. Manages regional marketing strategies in support of corporate objectives. Works closely with sales teams to create new initiatives targeting various channels. Ensures marketing projects are well-organized, deadlines are met, and team contributions align with overall objectives. Manages a team of marketing specialists and identifies areas of improvement in team, process, collateral, etc. Provides leadership and mentorship to the marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

· Partners with Marketing team and senior level management and key business unit staff to develop strategic marketing and communications goals, objectives, and plans.

· Oversees the evaluation, measurement, and analyses of plans to ensure maximum return.

· Develops and executes regional marketing plans in support of corporate objectives, focusing on lead generation and conversion strategies.

· Collaborates with sales management and staff to build new programs aimed at groups and brokers across multiple channels.

· Maintains understanding of the brand and product strength in each region.

· Analyzes the comprehensive customer journey and provides strategic recommendations to enhance marketing influence at every touchpoint.

· Develops targeted marketing programs designed to generate qualified leads and support sales initiatives, emphasizing lower funnel tactics.

· Partners with the sales enablement team to develop and refine assets tailored for internal sales teams and external broker partners.

· Manages writing, editing and design efforts of marketing materials maintaining consistency in message and corporate branding.

· Recommends enhancements to sales collateral, website communications, and campaign assets to improve consistency, engagement, and lead conversion effectiveness.

· Manages vendor relationships as needed for research, production, and other services.

· Collaborates with agency media partners to explore and implement innovative digital marketing approaches.

· Manages assigned staff and project teams, overseeing marketing projects to ensure tasks are clearly defined, deadlines are met, and team members contribute effectively to overall goals.

· Encourages creativity, collaboration, and innovation within the team, promoting a positive and inclusive work culture while providing guidance, training, and support.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.

· 8 years marketing and/or business strategy experience, 3 years of which are in a leadership capacity.

· Experience in financial services (especially health insurance) or the healthcare industry is a plus.

· Experience in government programs preferred.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

· Comprehensive marketing knowledge and the ability to apply advanced marketing and communications concepts and best practices.

· Comprehensive knowledge of customer relationship management expansion and strategies.

· Knowledge of health insurance products and services and healthcare.

· Knowledge of print and multimedia production.

· Excellent writing skills with a demonstrated command of grammar, spelling and sentence structure.

· Strong Microsoft Office skills.
