Responsibilities The Department Coordinator serves as a resource for Assessment and Intake staff, by assisting with care coordination, providing information, and securing assistance. The Department Coordinator is expected to provide exceptional customer service. This is done in a manner that reflects our mission, vision, and values. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Performs coordinating functions accurately and efficiently Connects with external referrals to ensure clinical documentation is received Patient needs are prioritized and implemented according to department policies, procedures, and standards Interpersonal communication is courteous, responsive, and timely Performs accurate and timely processing of ROIs, consents, and intake paperwork Completes documentation (in SalesForce, MyAvatar, and Outlook) within the timeframes referenced in department policies Provides clerical support to the department Demonstrates customer service approach in care and interactions with others Participates in quality improvement activities to evaluate and improve systems and processes that support patient care Maintains patient confidentiality Qualifications Requires a high school diploma. Prefer experience with EHR systems and/or SalesForce. Prefer experience in the mental health field Strong communication and telephone skill Ability to prioritize and organize tasks in fast paced environment Computer and clerical skills Ability to establish effective relationships with team members Strong customer service skills PrairieCare is a psychiatric healthcare system experiencing rapid growth in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota.
