Shift - Monday - Thursday; 7 am - 5 pm This position is ONSITE based in Brooklyn Park. What You Will Do: Competence and understanding of basic lathe operation Set-up, and operate CNC lathe/mill turn machines in a safe and efficient manner to produce quality parts. Ability to inspect parts and recognize malfunctions or parts out of specification. As well as take appropriate action on findings. Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing production goals with quality results. Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department. Maintain clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization. Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance. Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures. Perform additional tasks as assigned. What It Takes: Skilled in the use of measurement calipers & rulers. Experience working with necessary tools such as; Spanner wrenches, Collet exchange tools Perform calibrations as required. Basic Problem-solving skills Ability to perform visual quality inspections based on set standards Change cutting tools, work with ER style collets and spindle liner assemblies, handle and label bar stock. Properly install and maintain cutting tools. Ability to correlate tools with associated parts and features. Strong finishing skills such as deburring and sanding Ability to troubleshoot and resolve dimensional and surface finish issues Address alarms on machines as appropriate in a timely manner Able to safely and effectively operate handheld and stationary power tools Able to use a computer and calculator Ability to comprehend and follow printed and computer-screen instructions, and direction from supervisors or technical leads Able to read and write in English, and complete basic math functions. Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment Must be punctual and have good attendance. Strong attention to detail is required Good written and oral communication skills, to include the use of Microsoft suite, outlook email and other systems such as current digital operating system and other programs utilized on the production floor. Adapts well to change 1 year - CNC machining experience Knowledge and ability to inspect parts as appropriate Bonus Points For: Manual lathe experience Knowledge of CNC Lathe setup and operation.
