Walmart Automation Trainer (Maintenance MSWAT) in Brooksville, Florida

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Automation Trainer (Maintenance MSWAT) is responsible to support at the automation facilities and participate as a member of the Functional/Divisional training network with other facilities to determine current best practices and share learnings. This role is also responsible for managing the execution and quality of delivery across change programs, overseeing project teams supporting change initiatives, and acting as an active member of the facility leadership team. The Automation Trainer coordinates with facility level and home office associates and leadership to implement corporate initiatives and supports associate engagement through providing learning opportunities and building relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Implements and supports automation training programs at the facility level.

  • Participates as a member of the Functional/Divisional training network with other facilities.

  • Manages execution and quality of delivery across change programs.

  • Incorporates the initial change impact assessment results into program delivery plans.

  • Ensures stakeholder alignment and communicates change initiatives.

  • Leads program interventions to help achieve desired change outcomes.

  • Provides change sponsorship as required.

  • Oversees, coordinates, and provides leadership to project teams supporting change initiatives.

  • Establishes and measures change key performance indicators for change programs.

  • Ensures consistency in messaging between multiple projects.

  • Delivers clear direction to end users (e.g. project team, facility leadership, facility associates).

  • Manages site communications and develops a communication strategy and execution model.

  • Acts as an active member of the facility leadership team.

  • Shares knowledge, expertise, and coaching to develop others.

  • Leverages involvement in operations programs to drive change initiatives.

  • Engages program teams in the change management process.

  • Coordinates with facility level and home office associates and leadership to implement corporate initiatives.

  • Coordinates training programs and maintains training materials.

  • Leverages associate expertise and resources to assist in the facilitation of training in the facility.

  • Supports Quality, Safety, and Human Resources teams in meeting training requirements.

  • Guides and executes the Leadership Development process across the facility. Manages and coordinates hourly associate training programs.

  • Assesses and calibrates training programs to determine effectiveness.

  • Tracks and schedules required training.

  • Works with Implementation Managers to ensure overall training strategy is delivered.

  • Supports associate engagement by providing learning opportunities.

  • Builds relationships and encourages cross-functional teamwork.

  • Monitors work plans, workloads, and associate schedules to meet deadlines.

  • Resolves issues to avoid delays in project deliverables.

  • Uses systems to audit progress and identify concerns early.

  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Supports plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.

  • Identifies and communicates goals and objectives.

  • Builds accountability for and measures progress in achieving results.

  • Creates and enhance training content and technical content.

  • Shares regular updates with data and analysis of training successes and opportunities

The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for identifying and addressing improvement opportunities within the organization. They will demonstrate adaptability and promote continuous learning among associates. Additionally, they will provide supervision and development opportunities for associates, including hiring and training. This individual will also act as a mentor and assign duties to staff members, ensuring recognition and diversity awareness. Compliance with company policies and procedures is essential, and support of the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity is required. The successful candidate will implement related action plans and utilize and support the Open Door Policy. Finally, they will provide direction and guidance on applying policies and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of managing technical processes working in the maintenance department at a Walmart RDC or similar organization.

  • A technical degree related to mechanical equipment, industrial maintenance, automation/robotics, will be an added advantage.

  • Strong Technical aptitude in mechatronics and good understanding of PLC systems.

  • Proficiency in computer systems, diagnostics software and data tools for analysis and reporting.

  • Practical knowledge to perform Root Cause Analysis and Equipment Break Down Analysis.

  • Experience in implementing training programs.

  • Strong understanding of change management principles and practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to lead and motivate project teams.

  • Knowledge of training program development and facilitation. - Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience in a leadership role is preferred.

  • Knowledge of automation and maintenance systems is a plus.

  • Ability to travel as needed. About 90-95% travel is to be expected.

  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish is preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $50,000.00-$100,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

  • Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
