Lathe, Mill or both

3 needed (1 for second shift 3pm to 1:30am and 2 for first shift 7am to 3:30pm

Up to $27.00/Hour depending on experience and skills

Monday through Friday

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our client's team. As a Machinist, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing process, utilizing your expertise in machining techniques, leadership, programming and technologies to produce high-quality components and products, guide and mentor a talented core team and assist in guiding the company to greater achievements. Your precision and dedication to meeting goals and specifications will contribute to our mission of providing exceptional machining services.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist an energized team of professionals through mentorship, example, and demonstration.

· Foster a mentoring environment, assisting all participants along their career path with enhanced skill improvement and development.

· Program jobs, using MasterCam 2024 or G/M codes, to create parts to customer specifications.

· Set up and operate a variety of machining equipment, such as lathes, mills, CNC machines, to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.

· Analyze work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans to determine the machining process, tooling, and materials required for each project.

· Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of machines and tools, performing routine checks and adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency.

· Collaborate with engineers, scheduler, and other team members to discuss project requirements, timing, provide input on design for manufacturability, and troubleshoot any potential issues.

· Monitor machining processes to ensure product quality and adherence to tolerance standards, making necessary adjustments to maintain precision.

· Conduct thorough inspections of finished parts, using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, and make necessary corrections to meet quality standards.

· Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.

· Continuously stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and machining techniques to enhance your skills and contribute to process improvements.

Education and Experience Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining is a plus.

· Proven experience as a Machinist, demonstrating proficiency in operating various machining equipment and tools.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Enthusiasm and dedication to team and individual progression.

· Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate production.

· Knowledge of CNC programming (MasterCam a bonus) and operation is required.

· Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

· Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

· Adherence to safety regulations and best practices in machining.

· Physical fitness and the ability to lift, ca ry, and move heavy packages or medical equipment as needed.

· Willingness to undergo background checks, drug screenings, and comply with relevant safety regulations.
