Insight Global Data Engineer in Broomfield, Colorado

Job Description

A civil engineering client in Broomfield, CO is looking to hire a Data Engineer to support a data migration from on-premise to Azure cloud. This person will be working alongside infrastructure, ERP, and data teams as well as an external vendor to integrate ERP data into the cloud, and they will be responsible for data development and API integrations across several different reporting systems into an Azure Data Lake. Day to day this person will spend majority of their day in data development, supporting technical efforts, and running meetings with internal and vendor teams to ensure the project is progressing. We are looking for a senior data engineer that has previous experience moving data from on-premise to the cloud and are able to assist the current team with their expertise - any Azure-specific tools are preferred.

This is a 6 month contract-to-hire opportunity that will require 1 day on-site per week. Training will be provided for the first 4 weeks and will be preferred to be on-site during this time before implementing a hybrid schedule. We are budgeted $45-55/hr W2 while on contract, and conversion salary is expected between $100-115k.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or

related field required

6+ years related experience required

Experience with Python, Spark, and other data processing frameworks preferred

Knowledge of API development using RESTful services and API management tools

Data warehousing concepts and SQL databases Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate) preferred null
