GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Ensure equipment is serviced, maintained, and prepared for rental. Communicates with shop supervisor to ensure job orders are pulled and staged for inspection and processed for outgoing orders. Determine and manage the workload for shop techs to maximize productivity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in assigning daily activities for Shop Techs
Ensure mentorship and training is current within Shop Techs Job Task
Assist Project Coordinators, Material Coordinators and Dispatchers in the coordination of servicing, inspections and repairs of rental equipment
Ensure that Shop Techs are accurately preparing outgoing equipment
Oversight of locating assets needed for upcoming jobs / modifications if necessary
Maintain and verify accurate location of rental product accessories
Coordinate between inspection and Shop Techs of loading inspection racks
Provide support to Shop Techs throughout each day
Ordering of and maintaining of adequate supply counts (Ex: shop tools, consumables, etc.)
Coordinate with vendors to load test baskets and slings to keep assets certified
Uploading Certifications for slings and baskets
Other related duties as assigned by superiors
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND BEHAVIORAL ABILITIES
Current knowledge of equipment, materials, and practices used in the oil/gas industry
Basic personal computer and associated software skills
Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner, in accordance with applicable procedures and/or work order.
Complete tasks and follow oral and written instructions with minimal supervision.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Good communication and troubleshooting skills.
Self-motivation and leadership abilities
