GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Perform professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data. Areas of focus include general and sub-ledger journal entry preparation, cash receipts, AR collections and miscellaneous projects, among others.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reconcile more complex accounts and check the accuracy of journal entries to ensure that the general ledger is accurate and complete.
Apply accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions.
Prepare journal entries and validate supporting entries
Update monthly balance sheet templates and reconcile to the general ledger.
Draft segments of statements and reports, handle assignments involving analysis of data.
Liaise with Operations or Staff personnel for the purpose of supplying or explaining data, securing information or describing additional data which could be made available, and furnish advice on accounting matters.
Analyze purchase orders and invoices to identify and properly classify capital assets and expenses.
Assist with internal/external audits.
Perform ad hoc reporting as needed.
Determine proper accounting treatment of transactions.
May be involved with training/managing accounting/administrative staff.
TECHNICIAL SKILLS

Can apply experience to effectively process data in a multi-national business environment.
Can apply regulatory, compliance, and legislative requirements to accounting applications.
Has experience with a variety of applications utilized to deliver accounting services.
Has leveraged other technology and vendor services to drive service effectiveness.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Well versed in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of general business accounting practices.
Familiar with a variety of industry systems and applications
