Jacobs Project Controls Manager in Brunswick, Georgia

We’re looking for a collaborative, driven and curious Project Controls Manager in Jacksonville, Florida to join our Program Management Team leading a $2B+ construction program that will enhance the lives of K-12 students!

As a key member of our Project Management Team, you’ll provide the day- to- day support (management) and execution of project controls functions for project and programs. You will be supervising project controls staff and be responsible for cost control and schedule monitoring, analysis, forecasting, and reporting. You’ll manage overall project and program cost controls and reporting function by supporting client management, updates, and presentations to all levels of management. You will also develop, interpret, and execute policy objectives and standards applicable to cost and schedule controls coupled with analysis activities and EVM.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field

  • 4+ years of related Project Controls and Scheduling/Planning experience on large programs with a focus K-12 or Higher Education construction.

  • Experienced in all project controls disciplines - Cost Engineering, Earned Value Management, Risk, Scheduling, Estimating, Document Control, etc.

  • Broad knowledge of Project Control Systems, BI dashboard technology and processes including leading schedule processing software, program database platforms and spreadsheet applications (i.e.: Unifier, E-builder, Kahua, Primavera, Excel, etc.) 

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Proven experience setting up new projects

  • Ability to develop, implement, and maintain standard program procedures for project controls

  • Ability to develop and evaluate major program cost estimates and extended budget projections to identify and quantify critical budgetary, cost, schedule, technical, and programmatic risk factors

  • Experience building and maintaining Primavera P6 cost loaded and resource loaded schedules to support forecasting and multi-year planning

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have: 

  • Understanding of operational business processes in the Engineering and Construction industry   

  • IT experience or aptitude a plus

  • Experience in interoperability and systems integrations
