Job Summary:

Lead Analyst - Operations & Accounting plays a critical role in supporting Maine Natural Gas (MNG) by handling both customer service functions and project support for regulatory and Avangrid objectives. This position collaborates with various stakeholders, including end users, process owners, IT support groups, and external vendors.

Responsibilities:

Financial Tracking and Budgeting (30%)

Track day-to-day accounting and financial processes at MNG.

Prepare and monitor budgets.

Work closely with Gas Supply on daily supply procurement

Gas Pricing and Cost Reconciliation (10%)

Handle gas pricing filings and annual gas cost reconciliation.

Provide financial support and reports to MNG management.

CCS Functional Support (30%)

Provide leadership in CCS (Customer Care System) aspects of MNG\'s customer service.

Handle customer inquiries via phone, mail, email, or in person.

Update customer account information in Customer Information Systems.

Leads billing process, work orders, service requests, and payment agreements.

Organize credit and collection activities in compliance with Maine Public Utility (MPUC) guidelines and state/federal laws.

Maintain customer confidentiality and adhere to MNG policies and procedures.

Project Support (20%)

Collaborate with functional groups to define business requirements.

Assist in implementing solutions within SAP CCS and related interfaces.

Support Maine Public Utility (MPUC) regulatory reporting and studies.

Liaison and SOP Development (10%)

Act as a liaison for MNG with other financially oriented departments within Avangrid.

Maintain and leads front office activities related to customer care.

Support the development and completion of standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications:

Bachelor\'s Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field (preferred) with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience, or associate degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

Strong financial analytical skills.

Ability to diagnose and resolve complex situations.

Experience working with matrixed corporate departments.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Networks SAP system.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
