Position Summary

The Philosophy Department at Bowdoin College invites applications for two full-time, benefits-eligible visiting assistant professor positions for the 2025-2026 academic year. The appointments will be for one year and begin July 1, 2025. For both positions the teaching load is two courses per semester with AOS : open. For one position the AOC is Ancient Philosophy, for the other position AOC : open, but the successful candidate must be able and willing to teach Symbolic Logic. A PhD in Philosophy is expected by the date of appointment.
